Aminofunctional Silicone Fluid SF 3830 is a 100% active amino silicone fluid for use as a textile softener. Since it is functionalized with moisture induced, curable endgroups, it can react either with its own or with the fabric surface to increase the was resistance and durability of the treatment. It can easily be emulsified to stable micro emulsions, which give durable softness and grabby hand to cotton and a broad range of woven and non-woven fabrics.

Application:

• Due to its very low use levels Aminofunctional Silicone Fluid SF3830 needs either dilution in a unipolar organic solvent or, preferred, to be emulsified for most applications prior use.
• Formulations of Aminofunctional Silicone Fluid SF 3830 should preferably be applied by forced application systems, like padding or kiss roll to the substrate. However, they can also be applied through dipping both as an emulsion and when dissolved in organic solvents, but there the transfer rate depends strongly on the nature of the substrate and the concentration of the formulation used.
• As the textile industry almost exclusively employs aqueous application techniques, Aminofunctional Silicone Fluid SF 3830, a water insoluble material, must first be emulsified. If mainly softness is targeted micro-emulsification is recommended, for water repellency macro-emulsification is preferred.
