Magnasoft 238 textile enhancer can help provide outstanding softness and slickness to fabrics and garments, while minimizing the problem of yellowing, shear stability and thermal migration. This new product is water dispersible and can be effective at dosage levels three to four times lower than amino silicone fluids. Magnasoft 238 textile enhancer may be used on a variety of fabrics but may be most beneficial for synthetics, synthetic/cotton blends, polyester fleece and wool.

Characteristics
WACKER AM-9 is an aminoethyl-aminopropyl functional polydimethylsiloxane.
Applications
WACKER AM-9 is particularly suitable as active substance in softener formulations for the impregnation of fibers and textiles. WACKER AM-9 imparts a very soft, drapable, and elastic handle to woven and knitted fabrics. WACKER AM-9 improves the wash-and-wear properties and the crease recovery angle, sewability and tear strength and reduces abrasion loss. The effects are fast to washing and dry cleaning.
WACKER AM-9 has little effect on the degree of white in a softener formulation when usual application conditions are adhered to. As a rule no adverse effect on the shade or colour fastness properties of coloured goods is observed.
On woolen fabrics and knit ware WACKER AM-9 contributes to a reduction of shrinkage due to it´s high affinity to the substrate. As part of formulations used as fill fibre finish WACKER AM-9 imparts excellent slickness and resilience to the fibre.
Processing
WACKER AM-9 can be applied neat, from solution, or emulsion. Suitable solvents are aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, higher alcohols, and ketones.
Most textile processes are waterbased. Hence WACKER AM-9 is mainly applied from emulsion. WACKER AM-9 is suitable for the formulation of microemulsions and macroemulsions.
WACKER AM-9 can be use as sole active substance in softener emulsions or in combination with other components, e.g. paraffines, esters of fatty acids, etc. Compatability of the components has to be checked in each individual case.
Emulsions of WACKER AM-9 are diluted to the optimum concentration for the specific fabric. Application can be done by padding or exhaustion.

PRODUCT USAGE GUIDELINES
SagTex DSA silicone antifoam is a medium viscosity emulsion that can be easily transferred from its original package using piston pumps. Centrifugal pumps are not recommended, as they risk destabilizing, and in extreme cases, separating the emulsion. In low viscosity formulations, preliminary stabilityand compatibility studies must be conducted prior to formulation design.

If SagTex DSA silicone antifoam is intended to be used in surfactant concentrates (primarily surfactants, water and solvent), it is recommended that the product be dosed in as received, i.e., without any predilution. Following its addition, carry out slow to moderate mixing to ensure complete and homogenous dispersion of the antifoam. Typical levels of use range between 0.1 and 0.5% depending on the formulation and the degree of foam control required. 
For process applications, we recommend prediluting SagTex DSA silicone antifoam with cold water in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:10. For high dilutions level, care must be taken to ensure stability of the dilution. Stability can be extended by adding small amounts of a suitable thickening agent, e.g., xantham gum or polyacrylates. Commercial biocides(a) containing 2-Methyl-4 Isothiazolin-3 ones and/or 2-Bromo-2-nitro-1,3-propanediol are very effective in this type of product.A suggested starting concentration is typically between 0.1 and 2%, but this will vary depending on the severity of the foaming problem.(a) Biocides must be used in accordance with FIFRA regulations and manufacturer’s guidelines.

Product Description
Formasil® 45 Silicone Emulsion is an extremely stable, water-thin emulsion of methyl silicone oil that is replacing organic oils as a spray lubricant in the glass-container industry. It is being used successfully for the lubrication of all types of delivery equipment as well as for spraying the blank moulds of glass-forming machinery.

APPLICATION
Formasil® 45 is supplied as a 35 weight -% emulsion to be diluted with water. Slight paddle stirring is sufficient to effect complete dispersion of the concentrated emulsion. In areas where the tap water is corrosive because of excessive mineral content, 1/20 per cent of sodium nitrite may be added as a rust inhibitor. To prepare a batch of 100-to-1 dilution Formasil® 45 Silicone Emulsion for example, fill a clean 200L drum with 182 litres of water. Add 1.5 litres of Formasil® 45 Silicone Emulsion and stir. If local tap water mineral conditions require a rust inhibitor, mix 85 grammes of sodium nitrite in half a litre of the dilute water. Mix this concentrated aqueous solution into the 200L drum of diluted emulsion. As a good starting point, use the 100-to-1 dilution. From this beginning, vary the dilution to satisfy individual needs. The amount of silicone dilution varies widely in actual practice. So many factors are involved that it is not possible to make predictions that can apply in a general way. Typically, Formasil® 45 Silicone Emulsion diluted 220:1 is being used to lubricate the scoops, chutes, and deflectors of Hartford Empire IS machines. Water The purity of the water supply can affect build-up on shears and delivery equipment. Neither the total hardness nor total solids should exceed 220 ppm for best results. However, there are instances where harder water has been used successfully. Whether a given water supply can be used successfully should be determined by trial. In cases where local water supplies cause build-up, use of demineralised water is suggested. Zeolite-treated or softened water is not satisfactory, because the solids content is not decreased. Distilled water is satisfactory, but is usually more expensive than demineralising water.
Steel and Cast Iron Delivery Equipment
To date, both cast iron and steel delivery equipment have been lubricated satisfactorily. In both cases, it is good practice to swab new equipment with undiluted Formasil® 45 Silicone Emulsion before placing it in service.
Spray and Supply Systems
Many glass-container companies have found existing spray apparatus entirely adequate for using Formasil® 45 Silicone Emulsion to spray the delivery equipment of glass-forming machines. Others have found slight modifications desirable to take full advantage of the greater cooling capacity and other improvements that result from using Formasil® 45 Silicone Emulsion. For blank moulds, a special spray system is usually designed. Separate central supply systems are recommended for the delivery and shear spray. An ideal location for the main supply tanks is in the basement. For here, the dilute silicone can be pumped to a manifold system on the machine level. This arrangement permits preparation and storage of dilute emulsion in a cool place. The dilute emulsion is very stable and can be piped near furnaces, steam pipes, and the glass machine without breaking down or coagulating. However, bulk storage of dilute emulsion is not recommended where the ambient temperature exceeds 50°C.

In low viscosity formulations, preliminary stability and compatibility studies must be conducted prior to formulation design.

For process application, we recomment prediluting SagTex PhD silicon foam control agent with cold water (less than 18 °C) in a ration of 1:1 to 1:20. If the diluted SagTex PhD emulsion will be stored before use, then care must be taken to ensure stability of the dilution. Stability can be extended by adding small amounts of a suitable thinkening agent, such as xanthan gum or polyacrylates, to the diluting water. Commercial biocides containing 2-Methyl-4Isothiazolin-3 one and / or  2-Bromo-2-nitro-1,3-propanediol are very effective in this type of product.

A suggested starting concentration is typically between 0.1 and 2 percent, but this will vary depending on the severity of the foaming problem.

Description
Silwet 408 spray adjuvant is a superspreading surfactant based on a trisiloxane ethoxylate. Silwet 408 spray adjuvant lowers the surface tension of spray solutions, beyond that which is achievable with conventional adjuvants.Typically, Silwet 408 spray adjuvant (@ 0.1 wt %) gives an aqueous surface tension of <22 mN/m. On the other hand, an octylphenol ethoxylate containing 10 EO units (a commonly used nonionic surfactant) at 1.0 wt % gives a surface tension of only 30 mN/m.The bottom line Silwet 408 spray adjuvant helps lower the aqueous surface tension more effectively than conven tional spray adjuvants.Additionally, under specific conditions, Silwet 408 spray adjuvant promotes rapid uptake of agrochemicals into plants via stomatal infiltration. Spray solutions taken into plants in this way become rainfast, thereby improving application reliability.Unlike other trisiloxane alkoxylates, which are negatively affected by oil based components (i.e. EC formulations, spray oils, etc.), Silwet 408 spray adjuvant provides enhanced spreading in many of these types of formulations relative to competitive organosilicone based adjuvants.Silwet 408 spray adjuvant is nonionic in nature, making it useful with a broad range of agrochemical formulations.
